One of the very few characters in the One Piece series who have awakened their Devil Fruit powers, Charlotte Katakuri weaponized the abilities bestowed on him the Mochi-Mochi Fruit in several combat scenes throughout the Whole Cake Island arc.

This card from the ONE PIECE Card Game expansion set [OP-03] depicts one of the three commanders of the Big Mom Pirates utilizing these powers to their full effect.

This Secret Rare Promotional (SEC-P) shows many dark fists rising from the ground—an extension of Katakuri’s Devil Fruit powers. Katakuri is able to manipulate the environment to his advantage; by doing so, he can greatly increase the range of his attacks.

Katakuri’s regular Devil Fruit powers are also referenced; he can sprout mochi tendrils on his body which serve as extra fists or legs. If one looks closely, these tendrils can be seen as well; they show up as white stretches.

The jagged black lines surrounding the fists further highlight the sheer power of Katakuri’s attacks. Katakuri’s maniacal expression, meanwhile, is just the thing to finish off the illustration’s vibe.

In addition to this card’s impressive rarity, the fact that the illustration is one which highlights a core canonical element of this character increases its overall appeal. Additionally, Katakuri is the One Piece series’ most popular villain, so any mega-rare card featuring him is almost guaranteed to be a prized pull.

The latest figures show that the sale price of a Charlotte Katakuri (Pillars of Strength [OP-03] OP03-123) card of SEC-P rarity sells for 6,600 JPY (~US$43).
