Michael Jordan’s legendary performance in the 1997 NBA Finals cemented the Nike Air Jordan 12 as a cultural icon. Now, in 2025, Jordan Brand is reintroducing the beloved “Flu Game” colorway, once more bringing to the fore one of the greatest moments in His Airness’ lore.

The game itself is etched in the collective memory of fans across generations. Battling ‘flu-like symptoms’, Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to victory against the Utah Jazz in Game 5.

The shoes he wore on the court, the titular AJ12 in Black and Varsity Red, became a symbol of his unwavering determination and ability to perform at his peak even under duress.

The 2025 iteration of the “Flu Game” Air Jordan 12 will stay true to its original blueprint, albeit with modern specifications. Nonetheless, the shoe boasts a familiar build and will feature premium Black tumbled leather on the upper and tongue. The Chicago Bulls’ red is introduced through the striking Varsity Red accents highlighting the mudguard, midsole, Jumpman branding, and heel.

The pair has been purported to return in Spring 2025, accompanying the Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive” and the Nike Air Jordan 5 OG “Black Metallic” at the vanguard of next year’s biggest releases.
