For almost half a century, animanga magazine CoroCoro has been a cornerstone of the subculture’s growth and continued popularity. Notably, its coverage of the Pokémon franchise over the years has contributed greatly to the success of the Pokémon TCG and video games.

Today, CoroCoro now has two sister magazines: CoroCoro Bessatsu and CoroCoro Ichiban. It’s the latter in which this promotional Pachirisu card was first released. Everyone who purchased the April 2024 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban received this card for free.

This Pachirisu card comes in holofoil and features the logo of Pokémon magazine Pokémon Fan on its right side. Pokémon Fan is also published by the team at CoroCoro. The addition of the logo gives this card a unique quality while also symbolizing CoroCoro and Pokémon’s decades-long relationship.

Visually, the holofoil adds spectacle to the illustration. It provides a spectrum-like effect behind Pachirisu unleashing an Electric-type attack—as though it’s reflecting the light that Pachirisu’s attack emits.

It’s highly unlikely that this card will ever be released in English.

The retail price of a Pachirisu (SV-P Promotional Cards 129/SV-P) card is ¥4,537 (~US$30).
