A release date for the next Pokémon TCG expansion set on the way has now been finalized. Based on The Teal Mask, the first DLC from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, Night Wanderer will drop in Japan on 7 June 2024.

The set’s featured Pokémon will be the trio of Legendary Pokémon nicknamed the “Loyal Three”—Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. Each of these Pokémon will be featured in their respective Pokémon-ex forms.

The name of the set alludes to the lore surrounding the ironically-named Loyal Three. According to Pokémon’s in-universe canon, these three Pokémon invaded Ogerpon’s den, stole her four masks, and killed her human companion.

Ogerpon then tracked down the Loyal Three and killed them in an act of vengeance. The Loyal Three then received their moniker when the villagers mistakenly believed that they were acting in self-defense against Ogerpon.

Some of the other Pokémon introduced in The Teal Mask will also be part of the set. A Sinistcha card has already been confirmed.

There’s been no word about the presence of a card depicting Pecharunt, a Mythical Pokémon that also debuted in the Teal Mask, in Night Wanderer. However, it’s widely speculated that a Pecharunt card will either be confirmed on a later date or released as part of the upcoming Stellar Miracle set.

Retail prices are yet to be determined—stay with us as details continue to come in.
