When the eighth-generation Jet-Black Spirit [S6K] Pokémon TCG expansion set was released alongside companion set Silver Lance [S6H], the sets shared a signature Pokémon: the Mythical Pokémon Calyrex. However, another Mythical Pokémon saw its cards become among the standout cards of both sets: Zeraora. This Zeraora V card has proven to be the pick of the bunch.

The Full Art illustration on this Secret Rare (SR) card depicts the Thunderclap Pokémon standing on an outcropping with the Galar region’s Crown Shrine and Dyna Tree Hill within sight in the distance. The inclusion of both locations is likely a reference to The Crown Tundra, the Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC in which players gained access to both areas. This also explains the canonical contradiction in the card artwork as Zeraora is unobtainable in the Galar region.

In general, cards that depict Mythical Pokémon tend to garner much value because they are associated with exclusivity and mystery. In this regard, this Zeraora V card is no different; the holofoil that’s present on the card further accentuates this effect.

This card’s English translation is card 166/198 of the Chilling Reign expansion set.
