Nike Dunk Low “Red Mesh” Remixes the ’90s for the Next Generation
Embracing '90s flair, with embroidered details and mesh accents in a fresh color twist.
The Nike Dunk Low “Red Mesh” is a blast from the past with a twist, blending ’90s nostalgia with modern flair in a grade school release that’s anything but ordinary.
This latest rendition pays homage to the era of Eastbay catalogs and maximalist designs, featuring unconventional branding elements like embroidered “Nike” and “1972” tags on the forefoot, a logo replacing the brand’s name on the heel tag, and a retro-inspired insole design.
The highlight, however, is the all-mesh tongue, topped with a bubble-encased Nike logo, adding a fresh touch to the iconic silhouette.
Color-wise, the “Red Mesh” Dunk Low sports a patriotic mix of navy, red, and white, accented by teal and powder blue suede overlays, striking a balance between homage and originality. Despite its roots in Americana, the color scheme boasts enough vibrancy to stand out in any elementary school hallway.
Slated for release in 2024, the Nike Dunk Low GS “White/Blue/Red” hasn’t been pinned down with a concrete launch date or price just yet. Sneaker enthusiasts can anticipate its arrival at retailers and on Nike.com, likely priced between $90 and $110.
