Often, it can be difficult to figure out just what to expect from a Nike SB Stefan Janoski release. Sometimes the sneakers put out can be striking and flamboyant—other times, they’re more minimalistic and reserved. The Nike SB Stefan Janoski “Rugged Orange” would be more likely to be placed in the latter category.

Instead of a standout color palette, the main standout feature of the “Rugged Orange” is its construction. Made of suede instead of leather, this sneaker is something of an outlier within its line.

The shade of orange that dominates the shoe can also be seen in the inlaid piping around the panels, albeit in a slightly lighter tone for contrast. The laces feature the only leather on the shoe—they’re partially cotton and partially leather.

The rest of the shoe is similar to most Stefan Janoski builds. The black-and-white vulcanized rubber midsole is a clear testament to that fact.

There isn’t yet an official release date for the Nike SB Stefan Janoski “Rugged Orange”; however, it will be available on Nike.com and select retailers within the year. This sneaker carries a retail price tag of US$95.
