Air Max Day is always a landmark date on Nike’s annual calendar—and 2024’s will be no different. This year, however, Nike is making a major drop a few weeks after it—the Nike Air Max DN “Hyper Blue”.

This sneaker, a showcase of impressive technology and a unique color scheme, blends Nike’s storied history with present-day innovation. Its vivid royal blue encases the tongue, textured upper, and laces.

For contrast, there’s a navy shade placed through the upper—this also makes the shoe appear more dynamic. Further tonal interplay is added by the blue-grey on the sole and around the DN Air Max branding on the heel.

This sneaker is something of an outlier among the Air Max DN line because it uses neither neutral nor fluorescent accents. Its use of multiple shades of blue thus makes it stand out amidst a plethora of similar-hued shoes.

The Nike Air Max DN “Hyper Blue” will be released on 15 April 2024 via Nike and select retailers in-store. One pair will be sold for either US$160 (men’s sizing) or US$130 (GS sizing).
