Ever since its introduction in 1988, many of the Nike Air Max 1’s most beloved colorways have embraced more neutral tones. This is once again likely to be true following the recent release of the Nike WMNS Air Max 1 “Football Grey”.

Over recent years, the titular blue-grey color has become associated with versatility and contempotary aesthetics after having been the main hue on many Nike Sportswear models. With this in mind, this latest Nike Air Max 1 makes use of color-blocking that closely mimics many iconic designs.

The mudguards also come in Football Grey. They contrast well with the White breathable mesh bases as well as the curved panels which extend from the vamp to the spine.

The profile Swooshes feature a darker version of the grey found of the panels. Nike branding on the tongue and heel make use of yet another shade of grey.

The off-white midsole covers the visible Air unit. To tie the entire look together, the waffle-patterned outsole features a grayscale arrangement.

The Nike WMNS Air Max 1 “Football Grey” was launched on 25 February 2024 and is sold by select retailers such as Finish Line. Exclusively available in women’s sizing, its retail price is US$150 per pair.
