A Legend’s Shout-Out to Another: Nike LeBron 21 “Diamond Turf Max 96” (Prime Year) PE
Although LeBron supports the Browns these days, his admiration for Deion Sanders clearly hasn't dimmed at all.
Despite having been born and raised in Ohio, LeBron James was a Dallas Cowboys fan during his childhood. His favorite NFL player in those days was legendary Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders—the player to which LeBron’s next sneaker is a tribute. The Nike LeBron 21 “Diamond Turf Max 96” (Prime Year) PE is thus a “message” from one all-time great in his sport to another in his.
The “Diamond Turf Max 96” marks the second time that LeBron has referenced Sanders through a sneaker. In 2018, two LeBron 15 colorways inspired by the Air Diamond Turf were released.
This LeBron 21 is inspired by Sanders’ own Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ’96. The new LeBron 21 mimics the Black and White colorway of Sanders’ sneaker.
Metallic Gold branding provides the sneaker with additional visual contrast. In general, the design combines the aesthetics and legacies of both Sanders’ and LeBron’s respective shoes.
As of right now, no details about the Nike LeBron 21 “Diamond Turf Max 96” (Prime Year) PE’s release date or retail price have yet been released, though a launch is expected later this year. Stay tuned for further information.
