Jordan Brand takes things back to the old Chicago Stadium where a young Michael Jordan made his first impressions of being the GOAT in the making. The Nike Jordan Stadium 90 “Chicago” combines elements from the Air Jordan 1 of Jordan’s rookie year and the Air Jordan 5 of his 1989–90 season. It’s a sneaker that honors the Jordan Brand legacy while also incorporating visionary designs.

Inspired by the original “Chicago” colorway, the color palette of White, Black, and Varsity Red references the Chicago Bulls’ colors as well as the storied history of Air Jordan sneakers. For durability and breathability, the leather and mesh construction rests beneath a Formula 23 cushioned outsole and a rubber outsole.

The influence of the Air Jordan 1 can clearly be seen in the designs of the toe box, laces, and tongue. The heel cup, sole, and flare resemble those of the Air Jordan 5 to effectively blend key visual elements from both iconic sneakers.

The Nike Jordan Stadium 90 “Chicago” will be released in Spring 2024 by way of select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. Each pair will sell for US$140.
