Following the launch of the Legacy of Destruction Core Booster, Konami has already released details regarding the next Core Booster release of Series 12 of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG). Infinite Forbidden, the fifth Core Booster in the Series, is largely inspired by Exodia the Forbidden One—among the most iconic characters and cards of the entire franchise because of its “automatic” win condition when it’s completely assembled.

As one might expect, this set introduces new members of and support for the “Exodia” and “Forbidden One” archetypes. The “Dark Magician” archetype, as well as the Gold Sarcophagus of Light and Mirror Trap series, receive these same benefits as well.

Entering the scene for the very first time are support for three archetypes—”Exodo”, “Millennium”, and “Sennen”.

The set contains 80 cards in total including eight Ultra Rares and one Quarter Century Secret Rare. Additionally, 18 more cards are available as Secret Rares or Quarter Century Secret Rares while all Ultra Rare cards have an alternate Ultimate Rare form.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the most notable cards from this Core Booster:

Dragon of Soul and Pride

The counterpart to Magicians of Bonds and Unity, the Quarter Century Secret Rare card which had been featured in several sets prior to this one, Dragon of Soul and Pride is the only card from this Core Booster which will only exist at this highest of rarities. Like its counterpart, this card was created to commemorate the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s 25th anniversary and will likely features in several Core Boosters going forward.

Expect this card to be the most coveted pull of the set.

Dark Magician the Ebon Sorcerer (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

A part of the recently-introduced Gold Sarcophagus of Light series, this card is the series’ counterpart of Dark Magician. It’s one of the 18 cards which is available in various rarities including Quarter Century Secret Rare.

This card was revealed on the Yu-Gi-Oh! YouTube channel’s livestream of the Legend of Duelist: Quarter Century Event.

The Phantom Exodia Incarnate (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

The cover card of Infinite Forbidden, it’s a retrained counterpart of The Legendary Exodia Incarnate which was first issued in the 2015 set Millennium Box Gold Edition. This card is among the newly-created support cards for the Exodo and Forbidden One archetypes.

This is also one of the cards which exists in multiple rarities including Quarter Century Secret Rare.
