With each passing year, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 strengthens its position as one of Nike’s flagship sneakers, impressing sneakerheads with its storied legacy. Nike will soon be adding to this legacy with the Nike Air Max 1 “Thunder Blue”.

The white mesh foundation and midsole provide the perfect backdrop to highlight the main elements of the design. Combining with the white portions is the main color of the sneaker—the titular Thunder Blue which primarily covers the waffle mesh tongue and mudguard overlay. The laces, liners, and rear branding also feature Thunder Blue in more limited volume.

There’s also visual contrast through the Football Grey overlays. This muted color provides is the ideal aesthetic match for the striking Thunder Blue.

For a final touch, the laces and hidden Air supports come in Lilac Bloom. The use of this subtle shade of purple tastefully ties the sneaker’s entire look together.

Expect the Nike Air Max 1 “Thunder Blue” to arrive at select retailers like Finish Line and JD Sports in February 2024. Although no official retail price has yet been announced, do stay tuned for further information.
