[Update 10 Jul 2024] As the 12 July release date of the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 collaboration draws closer, a new “Phantom” colorway emerges alongside the previously announced “Action Green”. This exclusive “Phantom” iteration, crafted for Stüssy stores only, boasts a more subdued aesthetic compared to its vibrant counterpart.
Both colorways, priced at US$110, will launch on 12 July— the “Action Green” at Stüssy and Dover Street Market locations, with a wider release on Nike SNKRS following on 19 July.
[Update 27 Jun 2024] According to the latest reports, the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 “Action Green” will be released on 19 July. Other details, such as its price, are scant at the moment. Come back soon for more updates as they stream in.
The latest collaboration between Stüssy and Nike has resulted in a bright green LD-1000 colorway. This running shoe which soared in popularity almost immediately after its 1977 release has since been reimagined as a contemporary silhouette for day-to-day use as the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000.
The sneaker—revealed by sneaker leaker and collector @carterwangchina—extends Stüssy’s long-time collaboration with Nike. Stüssy first began working with Nike all the way back in 2000 on an Air Huarache sneaker.
This shoe’s bold palette and striking branding truly stand out. The bright green mesh uppers are paired with slightly darker green suede overlays for visual contrast. Similarly, black heels and Swooshes are matched with white EVA foam midsoles and black waffle-patterned outsoles for the same reason.
The branding on the heel sees the usual Nike text replaced with its Stüssy equivalent. On the tongue, Nike’s usual “Engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes” is displayed in Stüssy’s signature font instead.
Neither a retail price nor release date for the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 has yet been announced as of now. Stay tuned!
