Tom and Jerry fan? Grab a piece of this animation history blended with the coolness of street style.
In a whimsical blend of animation history and street fashion, XLARGE Japan joins hands with the iconic duo Tom and Jerry to celebrate 85 years of their slapstick comedy. This first-ever Tom and Jerry x XLARGE collaboration brings together the timeless charm of the cat-and-mouse antics that have captivated generations since their debut in 1940 with XLARGE’s urban style.
Tom and Jerry, created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, have been a beloved part of animation history for over eight decades, enchanting audiences worldwide with their comical chases.
On the other side of this collaboration stands XLARGE, established in LA’s Los Feliz neighborhood by Eli Bonerz and Adam Silverman. Known for its influential style, drawn from workwear, vintage, club scene aesthetics, and more, XLARGE is iconic for its Gorilla logo and has been a defining force in streetwear.
The Tom and Jerry x XLARGE collection is a nostalgic trip down memory lane, offering a range of streetwear staples that feature classic scenes and characters from the beloved series.
Fans can expect varsity jackets, hooded sweatshirts, long T-shirts, denim pants, shoulder bags, and beanies, all adorned with intricate embroidery and prints that capture the essence of Tom and Jerry’s playful rivalry.
The collection not only pays homage to the animation but also brings a fresh nostalgic twist to streetwear. Each piece in the lineup is a tribute to the enduring appeal of Tom, the lovably goofy cat, and Jerry, the mischievous and cunning mouse. Their dynamic chases and friendly fights, which have earned the series numerous Academy Awards, are now stylishly immortalized in this unique fashion line.
Set for release on 20 January at all XLARGE and XLARGE/X-girl stores across Japan, online at “ZOZOTOWN” and reselling on SNKRDUNK App, this collaboration is stirring excitement among fans praising the “cuteness overload” of the collaboration.
