Trading Card Game (TCG) fans are in for a wild weekend come the end of the month. Pokémon Card Game’s Wild Force [SV5K] and Cyber Judge [SV5M] is set to release on 26 January, and following suit, ONE PIECE Card Game is launching a special set of their own the day after: the first-ever Extra Booster [EB-01] set, named “Memorial Collection”.

What is ONE PIECE Card Game Extra Booster set?

To make sure no one’s confused, the ONE PIECE Card Game Extra Booster is NOT part of the main line expansion ONE PIECE trading card sets. Awakening of the New Era [OP-06] was the latest release in the main TCG line, and the next set, 500 Years into the Future [OP-07], is scheduled to be released in February 2024. The Extra Booster series marks a new introduction to the franchise. It carries its own code (EB-01 vs OP-06), and also contains fewer cards overall as compared to the main line releases (62 vs 126 card types). That being said, according to the ONE PIECE Card Game franchise themselves, the Extra Booster series is meant to supplement previous themes for decks, and also cast a spotlight on popular characters that were not prominent in previous main line sets.

What ONE PIECE Cards to expect in Memorial Collection [EB-01]

Memorial Collection [EB-01] will feature an especially cute Chopper as its titular character, while other favorites such as Brooks, Oden, and Kyros, will be part of the set as well. As mentioned above, EB-01 will feature 61+1 card types, which consist of 3 Leaders, 28 Commons, 21 Rares, 8 Super Rares, a Secret Rare, and a DON!! Card. For those familiar with the TCG, it’s currently unclear if there will be a chase “Manga” rare card just like the main expansion sets. Also, it seems as if Special Rares will not be part of the Extra Booster set. This set will also feature ONE PIECE cards that will supplement decks up to The Three Brothers Ultimate Deck [ST13], including themes such as Dressrosa, Baroque Works, and Impel Down. We start off with some of the rare ONE PIECE cards you can find in Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB-01], posted by the official ONE PIECE Card Game channel. As expected, the titular Tony Tony Chopper will have a Parallel Rare card, as well as a dual character Kid and Killer.

The Secret Rare (SEC) has also been revealed to be Mr. 2 Bon Clay (Bentham)—albeit in his transformed Nami form. This makes for a really unique card and worthy of its SEC rarity. Here are the rest of the Parallel Rares as shown by the official ONE PIECE TCG account:

Leader Cards

The three Leader cards for EB-01 have also been revealed to be Kyros, Kozuki Oden, and Hannyabal. Kyros’ artwork for a regular Leader card has been praised a lot in the community, while Kozuki Oden’s card looks to be an awesome addition for any red Dressrosa theme decks. Super Rares

A total of eight SRs will be included in Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB-01], and there’s no better card to start with than the titular Tony Tony Chopper. Tony Tony Chopper’s regular SR card takes on the same artwork as the pack’s cover, which is one of the cutest cards in the entire franchise. The other SR cards in the set include Brook, Cavendish, Viola, Laboon, Miss Wednesday, and Shirahoshi.
