The Air Force 1 Lover Wild “Earth” Is Nike’s Answer to the Alternative Footwear Trend
Pushing boundaries, one clog at a time.
The “anti-sneaker” trend has been gaining momentum for years, propelled in part by the resurgence of Crocs, a phenomenon largely attributed to Salehe Bembury’s innovative designs. Now, with a growing appreciation for clogs, Nike has entered the fray with offerings like the Calm Slide and Jordan Brand’s Hex Clog.
As they always have, in the true spirit of innovation, Nike is pushing boundaries once again, this time with a unique twist on its iconic Air Force 1 Low. Reintroducing: the Nike Air Force 1 Lover Wild “Earth”.
Originally launched in 2018 as part of the women’s exclusive Reimagined collection, this low-top iteration retains the familiar spirit of Bruce Kilgore’s brainchild, but with a modern, clog-inspired twist.
The “Earth” colorway features a luxurious tumbled leather upper, mirroring the iconic perforated toe box of the original Air Force 1. For enhanced comfort and ease of wear, the heel boasts a sloped design for an inviting entry point.
Bathed in a rich, earthy brown hues reminiscent of chocolate, the “Earth” colorway radiates timeless elegance. Subtle accents, such as the “Racer Blue” branding on the footbed and pull tabs at the heel, add a touch of contrast without breaking uniformity of the palette.
There isn’t a firm release date yet but the Nike Air Force 1 Lover Wild “Earth” is projected to arrive sometime in 2024. However, the pair has been spotted on select Nike regional websites and certain stockists.
So, just keep an eye out for further updates on a wider release! Till then, enjoy the official images in the gallery above.
