Takashi Murakami To Drop Murakami.Flowers Collectible Trading Cards
In commemoration of the launch of the Kaikai Kiki Marketplace.
[Update 9 Apr 2024] Retail prices for 108FLOWERS boxes are now in. One box of the Japanese version sells for an impressive 81,000 JPY (~US$533) while its English counterpart goes for 72,000 JPY (~US$474).
On 30 November, Takashi Murakami officially launched the Kaikai Kiki Marketplace, an original platform to purchase and sell NFT artworks by Takashi Murakami, Kaikai Kiki artists, and artists affiliated with Kaikai Kiki.
To commemorate the launch, the Japanese creative is set to drop a special set of Murakami.Flowers collectible trading cards.
108FLOWERS
Comprising a total of 108 cards, the “108FLOWERS” set will showcase newly drawn and designed illustrations inspired by the Murakami.Flowers NFT collection. Unlike the original dot-art, the latest illustrations are noted for their shift towards a more realistic graphic art style.
How to buy
The “108FLOWERS” trading card set will be released on 12 December, with an exclusive pre-sale available to users holding at least one Murakami.Flowers NFT in their wallets as of 10 December, 12AM (GMT).
