In a surprise announcement at the Footwear News Achievement Awards, the legendary Futura revealed an upcoming collaboration with Crocs. With Futura’s signature aesthetic and Crocs’ new reputation as a fashion-forward option, the partnership has the promise to be a unique and exciting addition to the footwear landscape.
Crocs has been experiencing a renaissance in recent years, establishing a strong reputation for successful collaborations. In the last few months alone, they’ve partnered with some of the world’s most recognizable brands like McDonald’s, IPs like Demon Slayer, and designers like Feng Chen Wang.
Considering Crocs’ Classic Clogs have served as the foundation for most of these projects, it’s likely that Futura will also utilize the iconic silhouette. There are no images yet but considering his pedigree, expect his signatures to elevate the Classic Clog, whether in the form of an edgy street-inspired aesthetic or Crocs’ hallmark Jibbitz.
As two entities, there’s plenty to look forward to from them. Crocs has an upcoming collaboration with CLOT, while Futura Laboratories has a Nike SB Dunk Low in the works. Both likely to be one of 2024’s most exciting releases.
Stay tuned for more details and images in the coming weeks! In other news, check out Timothée Chalamet’s “Wonka” Nike Dunk Low.
