Ever since its inception, the New Balance 1906R quickly rose to one of the brand’s most recognized performance running silhouette and has received a wide array of colorway makeovers and collaborative efforts.

Now, the lifestyle label is ready to introduce an upgrade to the coveted model with the new 1906U, a pair focused on the utility aspect of footwear.

The pair retains majority of the old model’s technical structure, including its N-lock lace system, ABZORB sole technology and N-ergy cushioning. Noticeable differences arrive on the uppers, such as a ripstop and mesh crafted foundation and restructured overlay runnings for enhanced durability.

No release details are confirmed at this time, but the 1906U will see its debut in two colorways, respectively “Cream/Blue/Pink” and “Grey/Black/Yellow”. Check them out via the gallery above and stay tuned here as we await further updates on their arrival.
