[Update 14 Nov 2023] A$AP Rocky has worn many hats in the last decade, but none quite as big as his current one: Creative Director of PUMA’s F1 line.

Come 17 November, his inaugural collection in its entirety will be released by way of a pop-up this weekend in Las Vegas, in line with the Grand Prix. For the rest of the world, fret not, select styles will be availed at PUMA’s website. Till then, enjoy a preview at the image gallery above.

Formula 1 is at the peak of its popularity in recent years, no doubt aided by its hit Netflix docu-series Drive to Survive. As the drivers head towards the America leg of the racing calendar, PUMA and F1 have jointly unveiled A$AP Rocky as their new creative director, joining his partner Rihanna under the the Formstrip umbrella.

A few months ago, the German sportswear brand announced a multi-year deal with the motorsport, becoming the exclusive licensee and trackside retailer at all races. Now with A$AP Rocky at the helm, both PUMA and F1 will hope to interest younger, fashion-forward audiences on and off the track.

“A$AP Rocky’s fashion knowledge, style, and cultural expertise is set to help bring a new perspective to F1’s growing audience, as he will be developing bespoke capsule collections designed by him, that will influence the brand’s seasonal design directions moving forward,” according to F1’s press release.

The rapper’s first project as PUMA and F1’s creative director will come in the form of an extremely limited capsule, confirmed by the brands to arrive later this year. This will serve as a sneak peek for what’s to come next year.
