Nike Honors “Tuskegee Institute” With a Striking Terminator High
An exceptional tribute with intricate details adorning its parts.
Tuskegee University, located east of Montgomery, Alabama, has a storied history dating back to 1881. As the institution’s 14 October homecoming draws imminent, Nike pays tribute to the Historically Black University (HBCU) founded by Booker T. Washington.
The commemorative, striking Nike Terminator High boasts a stylish color palette. Instead of the traditional Nike branding on the tongue labels, it proudly features bold ‘TU’ lettering and a prominent Golden Tiger logo, reminiscent of Tuskegee’s rich heritage. Additionally, the homage is made more apparent with the “Tuskegee Institute” embroidered along the spine.
Further nods to Tuskegee University are evident in the intricate details. “Ball” and “Parlay” adorn the laces, while “1881” is expertly debossed onto the lateral forefoot. Inside, the insoles showcase a photograph of Abbott Stadium, a significant landmark for the university.
There’s no release date yet but pair is projected to arrive sometime in October 2023 with an RRP of US$135. Stay tuned for an update!
