Pokémon x Van Gogh Museum To Hold a Special Art Exhibition

Offering a range of interactive activities and exclusive apparel merch.

In commemoration of its 50th anniversary, Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum officially joins forces with the Pokémon franchise to hold a special art exhibition. This marks the Japanese franchise’s latest art-related collaboration, following a previous “The Scream” TCG Promo Cards series.

Pokémon Paintings

The duo will showcase various Van Gogh inspired Pokémon paintings, such as the “Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat”, Munchlax and Snorlax in “The Bedroom” and Sunflora peeking through “Sunflowers” artworks.

Pokémon Adventure & TCG Promo Card

Introducing “Pokémon Adventure”, an art-hunt segment compromising interactive activities revolved around Van Gogh’s paintings and the stories behind them, participants can follow clues to complete a quest for a chance to win an exclusive Pikachu x Van Gogh Museum promo card.

How to Draw Pikachu

Besides the main exhibition contents mentioned above, event-goers can unleash their creativity by heading over to the museum’s restaurant to watch a “How to Draw Pikachu” video and create their own fan art of the Pokémon.

The Van Gogh Museum Shop will also be offering a range of exclusive collaboration items, such as tote bags, t-shirts and more. Selected items will also be made available via the Pokémon Center Online store.
