The Claima x Saucony 3D Grid Hurricane Is a Reminder You Can “Claim a Seat” at the Table
A full circle experience for co-founder Bimma Williams who began his career with Saucony.
“Claim A Seat At The Table”, shortened to Claima Stories, chronicles the experiences of young people of color developing as creatives and businesspeople. The independent podcast has already honored the works of over 100 different artists.
The show is hosted by co-founder Bimma Williams, who himself is no stranger to the world of sneakers having spent much of his career at some of the industry’s largest companies. Now, Williams and his team are channelling their voice through a very special partnership with Saucony and the 3D Grid Hurricane as part of their own “Claim A Seat” program.
“This collaboration is near and dear to my heart; from my own beginnings in the footwear industry at Saucony to the heartfelt nod to my hometown of Louisiana through the name ‘3D Grid Hurricane’,” said Bimma Williams.
“This partnership symbolizes the value of following one’s dreams and staying true to one’s mission. The ‘3D Grid Hurricane’ sneaker is a testament to resilience and collaboration, co-designed by a dear friend of mine, John Humphrey of Beignet Boys in New Orleans.”
Dressed in Claima’s signature purple, the premium suede of the shoe is then interwoven with gilded elements, which enhances the embroidered marking on top of the forefoot and heel as well as the river-inspired design at the sides.
The pair has been scheduled for release on 30 September, 9 am (PST) with an RRP of US$150.
