[Update 17 Jan 2024] While waiting for the return of the black and white Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Force 1 Lows, A$AP Bari has teased two new colorways: Two tonal renderings of green and purple—a palette that exudes CPFM’s eccentricities. Much like the original two, the titular pairs feature the letters that spell out “AIR SUNSHINE”, integrated with reflective 3M.
Information is scant at the moment, but they are purported to arrive within the year. If they do get a retail release, expect to find them at CPFM and possibly Nike SNKRS for US$150. As soon as more details and images surface, you’ll hear about it here at this very page, so stay tuned!
Cactus Plant Flea Market has been in the news cycle recently with the announcement of their new appointment as Artistic Director of this year’s ComplexCon, and with new images of their upcoming Nike Air Flea 2 “Black” and “Faded Spruce”. Their partnership with the Swoosh has been a resounding success—at least, in terms of how much they’re usually talked about.
In continuance of their good (and as much, polarizing) work, they’ll deliver “Black” and “White” colorways of the most iconic Nike Air Force 1 Low.
The two feature the same SKU as its initial release in 2020 by way of the ultra-limited Nike By You program. The pairs come in a full leather construction, per its original blueprint, albeit with the unique CPFM touch on the overlays.
The “Black” is imbedded with the word “AIR” overlaid on its lateral and medial profile; while the “White” displays the words “Sunshine” on the left shoe and “AIR” on the right. It’s a look borrowed from another ’90s Nike icon, the Air More Uptempo. All of the aforementioned sit atop a tonal rubber sole unit, with the interior imprinted with heatmap-inspired graphics.
There isn’t a firm release date yet but they’re currently projected to be released in the summer next year with an RRP of US$150. Anything can change from now till then, and should they, expect an update here at this very page!
In the meantime, enjoy these looks provided by Sole Retriever. For another pair that explores the realm of the bizarre, check out the MSCHF x Reebok Pump Omni Zone 2.
