Nike Prepares a Special Air Trainer 1 for the Upcoming “Super Bowl”
Commemorating the 58th edition of American football's biggest night.
[Update 2023] It seems we are getting not one, but two pairs of the Nike Air Trainer 1 “Super Bowl”. Check out images of the other “Grey” colorway via the gallery above as we await further updates on a release date.
The new NFL season is set to begin with the Superbowl, the biggest night of the sport, taking place in Las Vegas for the first time ever. To commemorate its premiere in Sin City, Nike has prepared a special colorway of the Air Max Trainer 1.
Anthracite and tonal Greys dress the pair’s leather, mesh, and suede construction. It’s regaled with many unique features but stealing the show are the lateral Swooshes glistening with a Metallic Silver finish, reminiscent of the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Adding to the aforementioned is the Super Bowl emblem prominently displayed inside the sockliner. Further along, the NFL motifs take the form of three Velcro-backed patches; one of the league’s logo, another of the 58th Super Bowl, and lastly the Swoosh. The ’90s staple forefoot strap, a White midsole, and a Black and Grey rubber outsole complete its aesthetic.
There isn’t a release date yet but with the event taking place on 11 February next year, D-Day should take place sometime before it. Find them on Nike then with an RRP of US$140.
