With all the hype surrounding the new ONE PIECE Card Game set, Awakening of a New Era [OP-05], the multi-media franchise is now doubling down on celebrations. With the launch of the live-action Netflix series just around the corner, ONE PIECE Card Game will be releasing a commemorative set of Trading Card Game (TCG) cards.

For those who are unaware, the polarizing live-action adaptation of ONE PIECE will finally make its debut on 31 August, much to the delight or anguish depending on which side of the fence you’re on. Nonetheless, the series has been highly touted by Eiichiro Oda himself, the creator of the famed manga. In fact, he recently praised the series and the performance of the cast via a livestream.

Revealed by ONE PIECE themselves, the commemorative TCG cards feature two of the Straw Hat Crew’s most iconic characters: Monkey D. Luffy, played by Iñaki Godoy, as well as Roronoa Zoro, played by local favorite Mackenyu Arata. Both cards, while simple in design, feature their live-action counterparts as the centerpiece, making it a special collectible for ONE PIECE fans worldwide.

Unfortunately though, this seems to be a Japan exclusive. According to the post, these cards are only available at United Cinemas at AQUA CiTY ODAIBA. Admission is free, but the promotional event will only run from today until 3 September. If you’re in Japan, don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab these special cards.

It’s currently unknown if the other actors of the Straw Hat Crew will receive their own cards, but stay tuned for more updates should it come our way.
