In 2021, Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God released The California, a mule that instantly became a hit among minimalist fashion enthusiasts and sneakerheads alike. It was easy to wear and simple to style, and fit in seamlessly on most occasions.

Fast forward two years and Fear of God is back with a new California, just in time for the label’s forthcoming “The Collection 8”. While it looks pretty much the same as its predecessor, it’s the minute refinements added within the shoe that makes it special.

This time around, The California is developed with a new patented concoction, which the label boasts is three times lighter than the common foam. Appearance-wise, the slip-on comes in a smoother shape, along with removable leather insoles and a new rubber outsole for extra grip. Fear of God’s iconic branding is also present on the heel.
