Luxury brands are not as insular anymore, well-aware of the footwear trends that’ve been taking place around them. One such trend that’s been around longer than anyone expected is the Y2K-inspired runner. Even Kenzo has joined the fray with Nigo at their helm.

Not to be left behind, Bottega Veneta presents their gambit with their Orbit sneaker. It adopts the blueprint of runners before, taking its design cues from models in the ’90s and early noughties.

Arriving in three color options: “Silver White”, “Black”, and “Silver/Parrot Green”, each one features a technical upper—a synthetic material overlaid on mesh—reminiscent of the their renowned intreccio concept.

The three are expected to pre-launch in China on 31 August, at their official website. Followed by a wider release at their global flagships on 15 September. If you’re planning to get yours, set aside US$999.
