HOKA ONE ONE has always thrived in the great outdoors. It’s always been their domain, but the emergence of the gorpcore trend has thrusted them into the fashion landscape—much like Salomon, and the likes of Arc’teryx, North Face, and Patagonia. Becoming de facto streetwear brands, forcing them to adapt their offerings to a new aesthetic-conscious crowd.

With the increasing interest for sandal-esque, open-footed, trail-ready footwear from said crowd, HOKA responds with the Hopara. This time introduced in “Nimbus White” amongst a colorful array of others.

Traverse across any terrain, wet or dry. The synthetic upper places strategic cutouts for drainage while maintaining a tight lockdown. Adding to its ease of use, comfort and flexibility, the pair’s equipped with a quick-lace mechanism and a neoprene collar.

Underfoot comes a rubberized EVA midsole that provides a responsive yet cushioned sensation. It also has a rubberized toe cap for safety, in addition to a sticky rubber outsole and 4mm multidirectional lugs for traction in the most precarious terrains.

The pair is available now in HOKA ONE ONE’s website and select retailers for US$135. Make haste for they’re moving fast at the time of writing!

There are other offerings from HOKA worth checking out on the SNKRDUNK App! Head over to see some inline and collaborative pairs.

Elsewhere, the Clarks Originals Desert Track goes utilitarian with lace toggle and puffed upper.
