The Serena Williams Design Crew is an apprenticeship program by Williams and Nike, debuting in 2020 in support of emerging fashion designers. Ten apprentices from New York City were part of the inaugural class, with the founders serving as guides as they created a vibrant, ’90s-inspired collection of footwear, clothing, and accessories.

The collection generated buzz after its September 2021 release. Two years later, the SWDC continues to reimagine iconic Nike silhouettes like Air Max 1, Air Huarache, and Dunk Low Disrupt 2.

The pair features a composition of high-quality materials, toebox perforations, and an Orange-dominant upper. Clear Jade details offer a subtle yet vibrant touch, in contrast to the White leather mudguards and visible Air Max heel.

There isn’t a firm release date yet but they’re expected to arrive sometime within the year. If you’re interested to see more Air Max 1s however, there’s an array of inline and collaborative pairs on the SNKRDUNK App.

In other exciting news, ANNA SUI teams up with atmos to present an ASICS GEL-Lyte III.
