In recent years, high fashion has seeped into the streetwear/sneaker scene. With the likes of nigo and Pharrell front lining this new collaborative space, it’s no surprise that many are following suit. Japanese sneaker brand ASICS is one such example, having work with the likes of Cecilie Bahnsen in recent times. Now, the brand is working with designer ANNA SUI and atmos to create a new intricate GEL-Lyte III.

For those familiar with ANNA SUI, this new GEL-Lyte III’s design wouldn’t really come as much of a surprise. Delicate yet expressive, this offering sees the designer’s iconic butterfly design imprinted all over the upper. Sui’s signature shade of purple also accentuates the sneaker, appearing on the heel GEL-Lyte III branding as well as the lateral logo. atmos’ very own shade of “atmos pink” also joins in on the fun, taking form on the outsole, heel branding, and extra laces. A separate butterfly hangtag with both ANNA SUI and atmos’ namesake is also included in the set.

It’s an amazing collaboration, and one will shock the fashion world altogether. The ANNA SUI x atmos x ASICS GEL-Lyte III is currently available for pre-order via atmos‘ website for 16,500 JPY (~US$114), and will officially release on 25 August.
