Yue Wu moved to the United States from China nine years ago to pursue his dream of becoming a footwear designer. Based on the repute of his “Refined Future” pack—more commonly known as “Protection Pack”—he’s made it. To say nothing of it being his first attempt as part of New Balance’s lifestyle team.

With more wind (or wins) in his sails, he’s furthering his horizons and testing his Midas touch on another silhouette: the 610.

There’re many archival models that have established NB’s foothold but the 610 seems to be the next seed the Boston shoemaker is planting on the landscape. It’s getting more time in the sun with collaborators like Aminé “The Mooz”, niko and…’s “Coffee” pack, in addition to Yue Wu’s “Beef & Broccoli” pack.

Following the last, Yue Wu teases more colorways of the 610 on his Instagram. This time in Red, Blue, and Green. They all share a predominantly White mesh base layer, with the same aggressive sole unit addressed with a pre-aged tint on the midsole, with Grey and Black working in tandem on the outsole underfoot.

Even the “N” logo on the profiles take on the same form and color. Where they deviate is on the overlays. While the material composition remains the same across the three pairs, they’re synthetic overlays take on their corresponding colors. As it is on the tongue tag as well, and various accents across the shoe.

Not much is known besides what can be discerned from the images. But with these looks coming from the designer himself, it’s existence is at least well-ascertained. More details should emerge within the coming weeks so stay tuned!

If you like the model, there’s plenty more of them on the SNKRDUNK App you can check out!

In other news, the “Vintage Panda” treatment arrives on the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low.
