It’s been a tumultuous year emotionally for Quavo since the unexpected passing of his nephew and bandmate, Takeoff, last November. But a silver lining is in his horizon with the imminent release of his Rocket Power LP, a project he’s considered “[his] therapy”.

Originally scheduled for 4 August, the release was delayed to the 18th instead. But just ahead of its launch is an array of related merch that includes “94” (the year of Takeoff’s birth) jerseys and t-shirts, in addition to the “Turn Yo Clic Up/Turn Your Bitch Up” merch, as shared by Quavo himself on an Instagram video on his account.

Therein the video too, is the commemorative Rocket Power x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low. It takes the form of an archetypal, achromatic “Triple White” setup, lending contrast to the quaint album-related motifs.

First is the rocket emblem imprinted on the lateral heel, with an infinity symbol stencilled within. Adjacent and most noteworthy is the golden constellation imprint presiding over the profile Swooshes. An accompanying translucent red card is also included with the shoes.

All of the previously-mentioned are scheduled for release on 15 August via Atlanta’s Good Times boutique. Specificities of the pair’s release hasn’t been disclosed aside from a brief mention of a raffle system. Stay tuned for more details within the next few days!
