[Update 25 Aug 2023] Good news to those who don’t live near a McDonald’s! Palace Skateboards has put up a new online link where you can easily buy from, which you can check out here. However, shipping does not extend to every country in the world, so scroll down to the end of the article to check if your country is selected.

[Update 17 Aug 2023] The Palace x McDonald’s apparel collection has been released. Check out the official images at the gallery above! To get access, simply purchase the “As Featured In” meal where a scannable code on the packaging will lead to a microsite. While it ships to over 100 countries, certain regions are excluded. Scroll down to the end of the article to check out the full list of countries that Palace ships to!

[Update 14 Aug 2023] The Palace x McDonald’s apparel collection is here (or almost here depending on what your GMT is at the time of this update). Here’s how you can get your hands on this treat:

The “As Featured In” meal will be availed in designated branches in 100 countries across the world.

Although there isn’t a new menu item available, customers who order the meal can select a medium order of fries and a beverage in addition to a 10-piece McNuggets, Big Mac, or Quarter Pounder with Cheese, wherein a packet of McDonald’s Sweet ‘N Sour sauce bearing the “Loki” trademark will be included. Scanning the code on the packaging will lead you to the PALACE website, where merch can be purchased.

Additionally, on 18 August, PALACE will hold a pop-up sale at the oldest McDonald’s in Dover, California, where customers can make their purchase in person.

LINE

Crossovers, by now, are commonplace. Although collaborations between brands within the same space don’t carry the same novelty, collaborations between brands in different industries are. Case in point: the titular Palace Skateboard and McDonald’s capsule. A fresh fashion–F&B fusion.

It all began with a cryptic billboard above the McDonald’s at Times Square, written Palace’s trademark bulleted copy motif. Therein reads:

“Basically if I do enough descriptions about McDonald’s I reckon I can expense burgers then my life’s complete”

Adding fuel to the fire, the fast food chain cribbed in the same format within the comments “Will that complete your order”.

Their collaboration remains an enigma with the only Rosetta stones being the above-mentioned billboard, in addition to the teaser montage McDonald’s posted of its mentions in pop culture, scenes from TV shows and movies like Seinfeld, Loki, Coming to America, and Space Jam.

The next day on 9 August, McDonald’s follows up with an image carousel of all its pop culture references that presumably constitutes its “As Featured In” meal, with a Loki Season 2 teaser squeezed in for more discerning eyes. A release date has also been alluded to that points to 14 August.

That’s about as much as the two parties wants the public to know. But if there’s anything faster than McDonald’s serving food, are the websites that leaked the collection online.

Thus far, four pieces are seen. Three t-shirts in red, black, and white, featuring co-branded graphics; with the last being a black hoodie.

More details should emerge within the coming days but if not, 14 August is just a week away.

In other exciting news, the Rick Owens Dunks may return.
