Two decades ago, the Nike Shox may have been thought of as a flop from a business standpoint, but as far as the zeitgeist, the shoe was iconic and groundbreaking. Moreover in recent years, collaborators like Supreme, COMME des GARÇONS, and Martine Rose deliver the pair back to the fore of public attention with their own interpolations.

With enough momentum accumulated from said parties, Nike is readying more inline releases. One of which is the titular “Black/Grey” makeup.

Black mesh serves as the base presided over by leather overlays and detailing on the tongue and heel. The toggle lacing is visible in black and white, while the signature TPU cage is highlighted with a grey gradient. Most notable are the Shox pumps integrated in the sole unit that spans the length of the shoe, further defined by their silver grey finish.

There isn’t a firm release date yet but they’re expected to arrive within the year for US$170. Stay tuned for the update!
