The Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker has been a Nike athlete for more than a few years now, faithfully wearing the Kobe line on-court. Soon enough however, he’ll be wearing his own signature shoes, ascertained by the news that first surfaced in December last year. In March, reports of the anticipated “Nike D Book 1” surfaced once more, this time predicting its release for the 2023–24 NBA season.

Sneaker News today gave an exclusive reveal of the titular pair now dubbed the “Nike BOOK 1”.

The shoe’s proof-of-concept samples, seen in two predominantly black hues, offer a glimpse of its final shape. The design, a slightly extended low-top, rests just above the ankle. The samples are seen with test materials, one in shaggy suede, the other offering a more varied material combination. The tongue reads “BOOK,” and the “96” inscription at the heel alluding to Booker’s birth year. Its lateral Swooshes sparkle in gold.

Alongside them, a model currently named the “Craftsman”, presumably a lifestyle retrofitting, features textured finishes that extends from the elevated mudguard to the midsole. A tonal application of orange complements the Swoosh at the convergence of the mudguard and synthetic upper.

Devin Booker’s debut signature hasn’t been officially announced by Nike, but there’s reason to expect their arrival to be sometime within the upcoming NBA season, the end of the year, or early the next.

Meanwhile, consider a look too at the Nike ISPA Mindbody “Total Orange”.
