[Update 20 Oct 2023] It’s hard to believe the MSCHF Big Black Boot is even real, but it is. And now, it even has a release date. The polarizing pair is scheduled for release on 26 October. [Update 17 Oct 2023] After the original Big Red Boot and the MSCHF x Crocs Big Yellow Boots, a few customs surfaced leading to the perception that the Big Black Boot was another unofficial offshoot. But the mischievous Brooklyn collective has confirmed that the aforementioned BBB is in fact, official (as are BAPE’s Big Red Boots).

That said, the rumor mill purports that they’ll see a retail release. For now, they’re projected to drop on 24 November to coincide with Black Friday. When they do, expect them to be priced similarly at US$350. Stay tuned! These details should be confirmed in the coming weeks.

For what it’s worth, the Brooklyn-based art collective is just so good at being up to no good. It is its name after all. When 2023 has come and gone, their Big Red Boots will indubitably be remembered as the most polarizing footwear of the year (and one of, in history)—unless Cactus Plant Flea Market (who took that title with their “Grinch” Nike Dunk Low last year) has anything to say about it.

Following up on the MSCHF x Crocs Big Yellow Boots, comes an all-black makeup. Not much is known about them now aside from what’s discernible from @javelberlin‘s photographs. It seems to only differ from its archetype in terms of colorway. Still, it’s going to have the same affect on us: catching eyes and piquing curiosities.

Although the images are leaks, they have been ascertained by MSCHF themselves when they reposted them on their own Instagram account. More details should emerge imminently, so stay tuned!
