[Update 19 Jun 2023] Days following its reveal, the adidas Originals Country OG pack has now officially released via adidas and selected retailers. Retail price is set at 17,600 JPY (~US$125) per pair.

As the axiom goes, “fashion is cyclical”; further proven by New Balance, the enduring appeal of the Nike Air Jordan 1, and with the renaissance of the Sambas. Similar in shape as the last, the adidas Originals Country OG, reminiscent of running shoes from the 1970s makes a return. This time imbued with a silver body that’s seeing a rise in popularity this year.

It features the hallmark Three Stripes presiding over the profiles of the luxurious leather upper. The soft cushioning, grippy outsole, and low-profile build all work in tandem to summon a vintage feel highly favored by the present gens du monde.

In addition to the silver-bodied hue mentioned earlier, two more colorways will be released. One in white and green, another in a predominantly black hue with white accents. The upper of all three constructed with 50% recycled materials.
