What the Nike Dunk Low “Panda” is today, that was what the Nike Roshe Run was more than a decade ago. It was once the shoe, specifically between 2012 to 2014. As fast as its rise, it was completely removed from the shelves in two years, obliterated by the emergence of rival adidas’ Ye-approved UltraBOOST.

The Roshe (row-SHEE) debuted as a lifestyle runner appealing to the sneakerheads looking for a comfortable, versatile beater, and the casual joe looking for a svelte and simple shoe. In the confluence between the two extreme palates, that’s where the Roshe Run sat.

Sources from Nike has purported a brick-and-mortar return, starting from their “Unite” (outlet) stores, a pragmatic choice for the cost-effective model. They’re projected to sell today for as much as they did then, at US$75. There’re no specifics on what colorways will be availed but if they do hit the mark the same way then, more should be introduced.

Is it still too early for nostalgia to be a factor in its appeal? Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
