atmos has collaborated with adidas on many of the German sportswear brand’s silhouettes such as the Stan Smith and Adimatic. In continuance of their partnership, they take on the Rivalry Low 86.

Although better known now as a lifestyle sneaker, the motifs give nod to its strong basketball pedigree by way of its motifs, harkening back to Georgetown Hoyas’ former coach and NBA icon Patrick Ewing.

The Washington University in Washington, D.C.’s colors imbue the upper, with the most noteworthy being the subdued grey shades that engulf the nubuck panels of the base layer and sole unit. As a further homage to the Georgetown Hoyas, navy snakeskin finishes are embellished onto the stripes on the profiles, the tongue tags, and heel tabs. Ewing’s jersey number “33” is embroidered on the lateral heels, with the Trefoil logo on the tongue and heel serving as the final touches.

atmos has started a raffle for the pair that will close on 9 June, with the winners announced the next day. If you’re convinced to get one, expect to fork out 13,200 JPY (~US$94).
