[Update 4 Aug 2023] A release date for the first apparel drop from Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS Novalis has been announced. The collection, consisting of cap, t-shirt, Liatrisory bomber jacket and trouser, will arrive on 4 August 10am GMT via Kiko Kostadinov and select Japanese retailers. In the meantime, take a look at the new product imagery on the top slider above.

[Update 27 Jun 2023] There isn’t a firm release date yet but the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS Novalis is expected to arrive sometime in 2024. Till then, have a quick look at some new images that’ve surfaced recently.

ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov are set to debut an all new fashion line named ASICS Novalis at Paris Fashion Week in October 2023.

ASICS Novalis is the longtime collaborators’ first foray into luxury territory and will include a range of pieces that blend technical and fashion elements together, such as nylon parka jackets, bomber jackets and water-repellent cargo pants, serving as an expansion of the ASICS Sportstyle sub-brand.

The partnership between ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov first began in 2017 and has resulted in a number of hit sneakers and apparel including last year’s Kiko Kostadinov x HYSTERIC GLAMOUR x ASICS threeway collab.

The first ASICS Novalis collection will consist of minimalistic and logo-less pieces in muted colors like black, mauve and mustard, but don’t expect to see pockets or multiple panels that have become so commonplace with the gorpcore trend that’s dominated the streetwear scene the past few years. As a sort of antithesis against gorpcore, KiKo Kostadinov has intentionally made the ASICS Novalis designs “quieter”.

“The market right now is so dominated by hiking, outdoors—everything is so intense. But with Novalis we’re focusing on quieter products, rather than repeating what everyone else is doing.” the rising London-based designer said in an interview with Business of Fashion.

The ASICS Novalis collection will be available for sale via retailers like Dover Street Market and The Broken Arm, with prices starting from US$260 for cargo pants and going up to US$520 for parka jackets.
