Rack Your Brains With A BATHING APE x Rubik’s Cube
A collaboration that no one saw coming.
In a collaborative effort that no one could have possibly foreseen, Japan’s premier streetwear label A BATHING APE, better known as BAPE, is creating an official co-branded Rubik’s Cube.
The Rubik’s Cube was invented by Ernõ Rubik in 1974, and later used as a learning exercise by Rubik in class. Originally named the “Magic Cube”, it would go on to become one of the most famous puzzles that we know today, selling millions of Cubes every single year.
For this upcoming collaboration with BAPE, Rubik’s is replacing their signature staple colors in favour of the Japanese label’s designs. Each side of the Rubik’s Cube feature BAPE’s signature camo print. coming in different colors that one would find on a BAPE hoodie. They also feature different BAPE graphics and motifs.
The BAPE x Rubik’s Cube is set to drop on 13 May on BAPE’s website and authorised BAPE stores across the world. It’s unclear at this present time if the collection will include any other items.
