New Images of the adidas x Fear of God Athletics Fall ’23 Collection
Three years in the making.
[Update 18 May 2023] Leaked images of the highly anticipated collaboration have emerged, featuring at least 7 new sneakers! These first looks depict a mixture of low, mid and high silhouettes, with upper materials including leather, suede, canvas and mesh.
The most exciting part? This is only a selection of the sneaker collection, which is but a subset of the entire Fall’23 collaboration–when adidas’ Lorenzo mentioned the collection is going to be “huge”, he clearly meant it. Check out the leaked images in the slider above, and stay tuned for more updates!
Since Jerry Lorenzo switched Checks for Stripes, social media has been rife with anticipation for the release of his first collection with adidas. Aptly titled Fear of God Athletics, Lorenzo has subtly teased pieces from the collaboration every now and then. But now official confirmation has emerged that the Fear of God Athletics will release in the Fall 2023 season.
Along with new footwear samples that were seen at the Fear of God Eight Collection runway show at Hollywood Bowl, certain Fear of God Athletics apparel pieces was also subtly slotted into the models’ wardrobes as they strutted down the runway.
Ranging from crop-tops to bags, the collaborative project possesses a more sportswear-infused theme, which is to be expected given adidas’ involvement. However, the fact that they are mixed in with mainline Fear of God products points towards Fear of God Athletics’ items tethering on luxury.
Rapper Pusha-T provided the night’s music entertainment, coming out on stage in a full Fear of God Athletics setup. Similarly, Lorenzo himself showed up in an all-clad Athletics’ attire, displaying the co-branded version of the Three Stripes logo proudly on his hoodie.
We’ll have to wait a little longer to purview the full collection, which Lorenzo has mentioned will be huge. In the meantime, check out some sneak peeks at the upcoming adidas x Fear of God Athletics apparel collection and shoes, slated to arrive in Fall ’23.
