Although then Nike Air Zoom Drive grew to be popular among athletes of all levels of sport, the basketball shoe was discontinued sometime in the early naughties, a few years after it debuted in 1999. Nevertheless, it continues to be a prime example of Nike’s dedication to performance and innovation because of its forward-thinking design and groundbreaking use of their signature Zoom Air technology.
It gets a revival in 2023 with NOCTA’s hand helping pull it out of the Swoosh’s proverbial cookie jar. The NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive will be available in “Black” and “White” makeups, while specific details on the materials hasn’t been disclosed. But as its predecessors have been, each pair will probably have a mesh construction with a Zoom Air unit in the heel with its distinctive hallmark moderator plate underneath. Expect them to be completed by co-branded motifs, encased in unique packaging.
Information is scant at the moment with the only Rosetta Stone being the image sourced from Sole Retriever. The NOCTA x Nike release cycle should begin soon and when it does, more updates will be in order here at this very page.
Till then, consider checking out the Nike Dunk Low “Next Nature/Tapestry”.
