Started as a yearly traditional in 2014, the Beaverton-based brand has designated 26 March to celebrate the birth of the Nike Air Max 1 all the way back in 1986. This year’s Nike Air Max Day saw the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG “Big Bubble” return in all of its glory. And it seems that the brand has readied a big drop next year.

As reported by @bubblekoppe, the Nike Air Max 1 “3.26” in Royal Blue could be releasing next year as part of Air Max Day’s 10th anniversary. The first Nike Air Max 1 “3.26” dropped on the very first Air Max Day, which saw the OG’s red-and-white uppers matched with a Volt midsole.

Next year’s celebration will see the same construction, with the red swapped out for Royal Blue. The Volt midsole is reported to make its way back as well.

It’s not immediately clear if the Nike Air Max “3.26” Royal will come in the ’86 “Big Bubble” variant or not. Stay tuned for more information regarding this release.
