“Blue Camo” Isn’t to Hide the adidas Ultra Boost but the Contrary

It's not 2015 anymore but it sure feels like it.

The adidas Ultra Boost has gradually seen an increase in releases over the past several months, reverting to the color palettes that epitomized the 2015 staple while providing a sparse selection of new color schemes. This “Blue Camo” colorway is made of at least 50% recycled Parley Ocean Plastic, establishing a thematic connection between its construction and aquatic palette.

In contrast to the model’s typically overdone monochromatic looks, this pair’s PRIMEKNIT upper is covered in a rich yet colorful “Lucid Blue,” with clean white stitching illuminating the front half of the shoe and the mid-foot cage’s neutral 3-Stripes.

The sock liner’s contrasted jet-black color scheme carries through to the heel counter and tongue tabs, which have “Blue Fusion” marbling in their design. The innovative cushioning system assumes its distinctive “Cloud White” connotation in other places, while the tread and insoles are finished simply in black to complete the silhouette.

They’re available now at adidas.com for US$200.
