Back in November last year, Nike launched their new Web3 platform, .SWOOSH. Recently, the brand released more details about their first NFT Collection, the “Our Force 1”.

The collection will contain a total of 106,453 virtual pairs of Nike Air Force 1s, split between two categories. The “Classic Remix” box features older pairs from 1982-2006, while the “New Wave” box will hold pairs from 2007 to present day. Each box will be sold at US$19.82, which commemorates the birth year of the silhouette.

On 18 April, Nike announced that .SWOOSH will conduct its airdrop of virtual posters to community members at random. Those in possession of the posters will then be given the first chance to purchase the “Our Force 1” boxes.

Interestingly, one of the most ubiquitous sneakers in Nike’s current repertoire, the white-on-white-on-white Air Force 1 Low “Triple White”, has been confirmed to be a unique one-of-one. Yes, out of the 106,453 virtual pairs, only one lucky member will be able to obtain the “Triple White”.

The .SWOOSH platform was launched with the vision to create a robust community in the metaverse, with virtual footwear, apparel, and accessories being made available to its users. Members could also gain access to exclusive events and work together with designers on virtual products.

To note, this isn’t Nike’s first foray into the Web3 space. While .SWOOSH is the brand’s first official platform in the metaverse, they have also worked with NFT powerhouse RTFKT Studios, which are also poised to release physical versions of their own Nike Air Force 1 collection with Takashi Murakami.

You can find out more about the NFT collection and the entire .SWOOSH program itself via Nike’s website. However, the platform is country-restricted, so not everyone will be able to access it.

In more regular programming, check out the returning Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” in 2024.
