The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 is enjoying renewed attention thanks to the recent Air Max Day and the successful relaunch of the “Big Bubble”. Created by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first to feature a visible Air unit when it was first released in 1987. Almost four decades later, fascination about it may not be the same but it’s admiration remains at an all-time high. The family continues to expand with the introduction of the titular “Light Silver” colorway.

This model of the Nike Air Max 1 has an Anthracite Swooshes and mudguard, Light Silver mesh base, and Grey nubuck overlays. Other features include heel stitching of the logos, Barely Volt insoles, and signature branding on the tongue labels. The design is completed by a White rubber outsole, a White midsole, and a longer visible Air unit in the heel.

Find them on Nike’s brick-and-click come 22 April with a price tag of US$150.
