The Nike Zoom Vomero +5 Joins the Upcoming “520” Pack
From its make to color palette, it's the embodiment of retrofuturism.
The titular “520” pack is an enigma right now that ’til today only has the Nike Dunk Low subsumed. The Zoom Vomero +5 joins the club with the same thematic color scheme as its contemporary.
The model was first released in 2011 as a performance runner. But like most of its kind, especially with the market’s penchant in the status quo for retrofuturistic designs, it’s found new life as a lifestyle sneaker and its maker has amped up on its releases.
This iteration sees a predominantly white base with electric blue lending a nice touch by lining the midsole, laces, tongue tag, and interior. It makes a final flourish on the outsole before dissipating between the white and grey underfoot. Other notable features include the metallic silver Swooshes on the profiles, the polyurethane wing cages, and the heel mould.
A release date should be disclosed by Nike soon but expect it to retail for US$160. Not much is known about the rest of the “520” pack but when more information does arrive, expect at an update here at this very page.
